Fourteen years of conflict have left behind a deadly legacy. Mines and unexploded bombs are buried in the rubble of homes, schools, and fields. We believe that Syria is now the most heavily impacted country in the world. Since the fall of the Assad regime, thousands have begun returning home – but, every day, people, including children, are killed or injured by unexploded bombs.
