From Blueprints to Breakthroughs: Celebrating MI’s 2021–2025 Shared Success
From Blueprints to Breakthroughs: Celebrating MI’s 2021–2025 Shared Success
Over the past five years, the Mekong Institute (MI), together with governments and partners across the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), has transformed bold visions into meaningful, on-the-ground impact.
Guided by the MI Strategic Plan 2021–2025, this journey reflects how regional cooperation moved from design to delivery—strengthening agriculture, advancing digital trade and investment, accelerating clean energy and environmental action, and placing people at the heart of development.
From empowering farmers and SMEs, shaping digital economies, supporting climate resilience, to strengthening regional cooperation mechanisms such as the Mekong–Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund, ACMECS, CLMV Framework, GMS Knowledge Network, and the ASEAN Climate Resilience Network, MI has served as a trusted convener, capacity builder, and knowledge hub for the region.
These five years unfolded amid global disruption—COVID-19, climate pressures, and rapid digital transformation—yet through partnership, trust, and shared leadership, the GMS continued to move forward.
