On 30 April 2026, UNIDO ITPO Italy held the webinar "Strengthening SME Performance and Readiness for Growth in Iraq" organized in collaboration with SkillupMENA and dedicated to strengthening the performance and readiness for growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) operating in strategic industrial sectors, including agribusiness and fashion. Attended by over 50 participants, the session was facilitated and conducted by Dr. Soha Emam, a globally recognized expert in HR and Communications, who guided participants through a practical framework designed to transition businesses from being owner-driven to system-driven. The webinar utilized a series of interactive tools to help entrepreneurs adopt a holistic view of their organizations, effectively linking strategy, operations, financial management, and human resources. By the end of the event, participants were equipped with a clearer understanding of their business maturity and a set of prioritized, immediate actions to enhance organizational stability and support future expansion. This initiative was organized within the framework of the project "Scaling-up the business center services for innovation and technology in Iraq", funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
