Grassroots women are resilience experts, creating innovative solutions to land access and driving climate action in their communities. Hear from Violet Shivutse, Founder of Shibuye Community Health Workers, and Doreen Magotsi, Women's Land Rights Programme Officer, about how Land Leasing Guidelines are transforming land access in Kakamega County, Kenya, and beyond. Shibuye CHW is a grassroots women-led organization with over 2,040 members working across 18 wards. Their Community-Led Land Leasing Guidelines have formalized land agreements for over 200 people, reduced conflicts, and doubled sustainable farming practices. This is grassroots expertise in action.
