To share the tools and approaches developed under the EU Horizon-funded Naturescapes project, demonstrating how they can support the Global Environment Facility’s (GEF) Sustainable Cities Program, the UrbanShift platform and MDBs partners, the private sector, sub-national governments, and indigenous peoples in developing robust financial mechanisms and science-based advocacy and negotiations for programs and project participation. The event will highlight the Functional Urban Areas (FUAs) landscape lens and the NbS Scorecard as practical instruments for prioritizing interventions with higher socio-environmental integrity, ensuring that urban NbS deliver multiple benefits, equity, justice, and financial credibility.
