With the increase in the demand for clean energy, electric cars, and the so called agrominerals, mining is likely to grow exponentially in the world. Indigenous peoples’ territories are among the main targets for mining industries. The advancement of mining in indigenous territories should be looked at very carefully, considering potentially high impacts for communities, natural resources, sacred sites, and biodiversity. The event will shed some light on this debate considering the IPs perspective and raising awareness about the risks of this activity in highly sensitive territories and ecosystems.
