The plenary session aims to bring together policymakers, regulators, utilities, system planners, industry leaders, researchers, and civil society stakeholders to examine how India can sustainably meet rapidly growing electricity demand while advancing clean energy transitions. The session will explore both demand-side and supply-side dimensions of the challenge, including the role of grid infrastructure, storage, flexible resources, market design, institutional coordination, and policy frameworks needed to ensure a clean, reliable, and affordable electricity future.
