Urban mobility discourse often remains confined to reports, policy documents and closed-door discussions. While these are essential, they frequently operate within the ecosystem and rarely reach the wider public. Under the SHIFT Transport coalition, WRI India has partnered with multiple organisations to bring immersive experiences to different cities. Immersive experiences democratise access to information. They create shared spaces where policymakers, practitioners, civil society and citizens can engage with the same data. This collective engagement helps build a common understanding of challenges and trade-offs, making it easier to align solutions. About the experiences showcased in the video: AmdavadNXT: In February 2026, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation hosted AmdavadNXT, an immersive experience and convening to showcase Ahmedabad’s mobility scenario and shape its future before the Commonwealth Games. Partners: WRI India, TUL Foundation, UrbanVoices, aProCh, MyByk and other stakeholders. Namma Raste 2025: In February 2025, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike partnered with WRI India for a three-day immersive experience and convening brining in 5000+ people to look at sustainable urban transport solutions.
