Open waste burning and construction and demolition (C&D) waste continue to be among the largest contributors to air pollution. While policy frameworks are in place, strengthening on-ground implementation and enhancing public awareness present important opportunities to further reduce air pollution in Gurugram. Over the past few months, we have carried out a series of awareness and engagement initiatives on air pollution—working closely with government officials, RWAs, citizens and school communities. These efforts aim to build understanding and inspire collective action on the ground.
