This World Environment Day, we turn to the voices that are too often left out of the climate conversation, our children. In many parts of Zambia, children are already experiencing the harsh effects of land degradation and desertification. When crops fail, families struggle to feed their children. When water sources dry up, students walk long distances and miss school. Floods, droughts, and shifting weather patterns threaten both their education and safety. These are not just environmental issues, they are urgent threats to children’s 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, and 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
