With simple initiatives like constructing shelters in marketplaces to protect produce from harsh weather conditions, to more complex ones, such as creating an app to enable farmers to compare market prices before deciding where to sell their produce, the market system project is helping smallholder farmers in Amhara earn more for their efforts. The project was implemented by a consortium made up of Farm Africa, Mercy Corpos and ORDA and is a component of the Growth for the Future programme, funded by SIDA.
