Project Powerfarm | Clean energy in rural Tanzania

Expensive and unreliable electricity is holding farmers back in rural Tanzania, but a new solution is changing that. The Powerfarm project is a 12-month clean-energy initiative in Morogoro, Tanzania, led by Aegis Energy with Farm Africa and local partners. Discover how the project is using solar, wind, and biogas energy to bring reliable, affordable power to the HIMANA cooperative in Kilosa District. The project is powering machinery, charging electric vehicles and providing clean energy to help over 500 farmers boost productivity, cut costs, and grow their incomes.
