The Sahel is young, vibrant, and full of potential. Yet rising temperatures, droughts, floods, and conflict have pushed millions to the brink, with hunger tripling since 2018. This video highlights how resilience programmes across the Sahel are restoring land, strengthening livelihoods, improving nutrition, and helping communities build a more secure future. Through a strong partnership, WFP, UNICEF, and GIZ are working together to restore ecosystems, strengthen resilience, and support communities across the region. In 2024 alone, more than 6 million people were reached. By 2027, the goal is to reach 8 million. Because people in the Sahel deserve not only to survive, but to thrive.
