Uzbekistan is placing special emphasis on creating conditions that enhance the quality of medical services across all regions of the country. A key focus in the ongoing reform of the healthcare system is the modernization and improvement of oncology care, which remains one of the nation's most important social priorities for development. To address these issues, UNOPS has partnered with the Government of Uzbekistan in a project financed by an Islamic Development Bank-loan. The project is implemented in accordance with the directives outlined in Presidential Decree No. PP-242, dated May 13, 2022, titled ‘Support to the Development of Oncology Services in Uzbekistan’ with the Participation of the Islamic Development Bank.
