Beyond COVID: How Global Fund's COVID -19 Response Mechanism Is Transforming Healthcare in Zimbabwe

*Since 2020,* Zimbabwe has received over *USD 180 million* through the *Global Fund's COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM)* to support the country's pandemic response and strengthen health systems. This documentary showcases how C19RM investments, implemented under the *leadership of the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC),* are transforming healthcare delivery across Zimbabwe. *Of the total C19RM funding, approximately USD 51 million was managed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP),* primarily supporting health infrastructure investments across the country. Through the partnership between the Global Fund, MoHCC and UNDP, these investments are helping build a stronger and more resilient health system. From *digital X-ray rooms* that are expanding access to modern diagnostic services to *solar energy systems* powering hospitals and *solar-powered boreholes* providing reliable water, C19RM investments are strengthening essential healthcare services nationwide. The Global Fund COVID-19 Response Mechanism has also supported *modern healthcare waste management systems* and the construction and renovation of more than 300 *pharmacy stores,* helping ensure medicines and health commodities are available when and where they are needed. As C19RM evolved from an emergency COVID-19 response to a broader health systems strengthening initiative, these investments continue to improve healthcare access, quality and resilience for communities across Zimbabwe. #GlobalFund #C19RM #Zimbabwe #HealthSystems #HealthcareInfrastructure #UNDPZimbabwe #MoHCC #GlobalHealth
