In 2024, UNDP Zimbabwe, with support from Track II financing, delivered real solutions to communities affected by El Niño–induced droughts. Through solar-powered Village Business Units (VBUs), families now have access to clean water, irrigation, and income-generating opportunities — transforming life for 400+ households. Track II investments also supported 761 women- and youth-led MSMEs to become trade-ready under the AfCFTA, while strengthening local authorities to support inclusive regional trade. From rural farms to regional markets, UNDP is turning climate shocks into opportunities — and powering prosperity across Zimbabwe.
