Still Fighting the War on Cancer
Cancer remains a leading cause of death worldwide, but vaccines are on the horizon and some stage 4 cancers now respond to treatment. Next generation scans and other tests are reducing unnecessary treatment and AI is helping to predict breast cancer risk, but access to the latest treatments and clinical trials is uneven. In short, we’re making remarkable progress but much work remains. With the fight against cancer at a crossroads, what should researchers, doctors, and policymakers do next?
