Estonian Independence Day 2026 - interviews with IDPs
On the 24th of February, Estonia celebrated 108 years of independence
It also marked four years since russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine. Estonia was one of the first to stand with Ukraine in their journey to rebuild.
Working side by side with our Ukrainian partners, we are laying the foundations for a more hopeful future. This year, we have already opened a much-needed social housing for internally displaced people and a bomb shelter at an emergency centre for at-risk children.
Together, we aim to provide not only immediate safety and stability, but a renewed sense of security and possibility for people affected by the war.
Slava Ukraïni! 🇺🇦 Elagu Eesti! 🇪🇪
