In recognition of the incredible contributions of women, Action Against Hunger Philippines highlights Jaira, a dedicated Maguindanaoan nurse who empowers her community by training emergency responders. Her leadership and commitment serve as an inspiring example of the vital roles women play in strengthening and supporting their communities. Jaira, a nurse from the Regional Health Unit of Datu Saudi Ampatuan is one of the trainers during the First Aid and Basic Life Support Training of Action Against Hunger through the iPrepared project. With the funding support of the American people through the USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, Action Against Hunger has better equipped select barangays of Maguindanao del Sur and Lanao del Sur on disaster preparedness.
