Voices of Marawi - Paling

On May 23, 2017, violence broke out between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and rebel groups in Marawi City. 

For five long months, more than 300,000 people had to flee their homes to seek safety. The lack of access to potable water and safe hygiene facilities for the community was a common problem. Five years later since the #MarawiSiege, thousands of families are still displaced. Many people are still struggling to return to their normal lives with dignity.
