World's climate fund partners with world's authority on health

From extreme heat and floods to air pollution and water insecurity, climate risks are already health risks. The World Health Organization’s accreditation to GCF opens new pathways to scale climate finance for more resilient health systems. By combining GCF’s ability to deliver climate finance at scale with WHO’s public health expertise and country-level reach, we can support countries in establishing and strengthening climate-resilient health services where they are needed most. As the World Health Assembly (#WHA79) kicks off this week and discussions about urgent global health challenges come to the fore, we spotlight how GCF and WHO can partner for impact.
