GCF at SB64: Shaping the next phase of climate finance

As the road to #COP31 takes shape, GCF at #SB64 helped define how climate ambition translates into implementation. GCF engaged with Parties and partners on the evolving climate finance agenda— from scaling adaptation finance and strengthening country engagement to mobilising investment at scale and improving delivery. This year’s discussions come at a pivotal moment as countries and institutions work to follow through on the outcomes of recent COP decisions, including the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) and Belém Gender Action Plan. The discussions also come as GCF develops its updated strategic plan for 2028-2031, drawing on lessons from the past decade and insights from stakeholders. With growing expectations for climate finance, GCF remains focused on delivering capital at scale, partnering for impact, and supporting countries as they accelerate the move from ambition to implementation.
