This is Amino. A resilient mother of three and a drought-displaced person from Qaliyo village near Jilib in Somalia, she had to walk for three nights and a day to reach safety in Kismayo. Afterwards, she received support from relatives and the community in the IDP camp where she settled. Wanting to find a job, she couldn’t due to her physical impairment, she faced difficulties and was often ridiculed for her deformed hand. However, one day, CARE approached her, recognizing her situation and offering her a life-changing opportunity—choosing a skill that would enable her to earn a living and become self-sufficient. With the generous support of @franceinsomalia, Amino is now on her path to a brighter future.
