Excited to share a major milestone in Ghana’s journey toward sustainable growth. We are proud to announce the launch of the revised National Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Policy (2025–2029). This transformative framework, led by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection with support of UNICEF Ghana, updates the 2004 roadmap to meet modern international standards. In collaboration with UNICEF, we are moving beyond basic care toward a "Nurturing Care" approach: ✅ The First 1,000 Days: Prioritising health and nutrition when it matters most. ✅ Economic Strategy: A Costed Implementation Plan (CIP) ensures this isn't just a plan—it's a reality. ✅ Data-Driven: A robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) framework to keep us accountable.
