Lecture #30 Introduction to ISO-17981, CubeSat Interface (KiboCUBE Academy)
KiboCUBE is a long-standing cooperation between the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), offering teams from developing countries the opportunity to deploy a Cube Satellite (CubeSat) from the International Space Station’s Japanese Experiment Module, “Kibo”. Selected teams are supported in developing, operating and utilizing their CubeSats.
KiboCUBE Academy, provided by UNOOSA and JAXA with the support of the University Space Engineering Consortium (UNISEC), is an educational activity designed for future KiboCUBE applicants. It helps participants build the technical knowledge needed to design, develop and test a CubeSat; operate it once in space; and use the data it collects to develop practical applications on Earth. The Academy also helps teams strengthen their overall project planning and prepare stronger applications.
