Centering Gender Equity & Inclusion in the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport #TransportWeek25

At the 8th Edition of Transport and Climate Change Week, held under the theme “Time to Be Accountable,” the Global Alliance for Feminist Transport, represented by Women Mobilize Women, brought feminist perspectives to the centre of the global mobility conversation. Founded in 2024 by Women Mobilize Women, Mujeres en Movimiento, and Women on the Move Asia, the Global Alliance presented its new Call-for-Impact “No One Left Behind”, which outlines 10 strategic objectives to embed gender equity and inclusion throughout the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport. The presentation took place during the session “Moving Equally: An Exchange on Gender Sensitive and Inclusive Transport Solutions.”, which highlighted why safety, accessibility, affordability, care mobility, and representation must shape future transport systems. The Call-for-Impact urges the global transport community to shift power, dismantle exclusion, and co-create mobility systems that work for everyone — especially women, caregivers, and marginalized communities. Because for transport to be really sustainable, it must also be inclusive — and that means ensuring no one is left behind. 📄 Read the Call for Impact: https://feminist-transport.org/call-for-impact-to-center-equity-inclusion-in-the-un-decade-of-sustainable-transport/ 🌍 Learn more about the Global Alliance for Feminist Transport: https://feminist-transport.org/ © Transport and Climate Change Week 2025, Berlin: https://transportweek.org/
