At the 79th World Health Assembly, the GFF and Laerdal Global Health brought together ministers of health, partners and philanthropies around the Safer Births Bundle of Care (SBBC) — a proven, low-cost approach that helps health workers save the lives of mothers and newborns. Building on strong results from Tanzania followed by strong demand from partner countries, the GFF will support scaling SBBC to at least 10 high-burden countries over the next five years, with the potential to prevent up to 88,000 maternal and newborn deaths each year.
