No. 17 EN | Disruption Analysis: Understanding Aid Shocks in LMICs & the Impact on Health Financing
External financing for health saw sudden and rapid shifts in 2025, from the departure of USAID, to the subsequent decrease in aid allocation by key donors such as the Global Fund, and the return of the US government through bilateral memoranda of understanding. These have sent shockwave across LMICs.
As we look forward, it is critical to understand the scale of the changes in 2025 and 2026, their impact, and how countries have responded. This webinar shares global level evidence on the extent and impact of the 2025/26 aid shock in LMICs, and shares the responses provided by Uganda and Nigeria.
The webinar will be held in English, avec traduction instantanée en français.
