The project OPERA - “Ocean Prediction Enhancement in Regions of Africa” aims to strengthen ocean prediction capabilities and cooperation at national, regional, pan-African levels across Sub-Saharan Africa. By improving the quality and accessibility of ocean information, OPERA supports the sustainable management of marine resources, the protection of human well-being. And the conservation of ocean ecosystems. These goals align closely with key African strategic frameworks, including the Ocean Decade Africa Roadmap, the African Union’s Agenda 2063, and the AU Blue Economy Strategy.
