OP4CR is a two-year project aimed at strengthening Costa Rica’s capacity to access, use, and develop its own digital resources based on ocean forecasting and related operational services. This project is a collaborative effort between the European Union, Mercator Ocean International, and local Costa Rican partners. It emphasizes co-design with stakeholders to ensure the development of fit-for-purpose tools and services. The project also highlights the European Union’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and supporting Costa Rica in enhancing its ocean capabilities.
