From conflict to cooperation: Inside Sri Lanka railways workshops

“We’ve resolved issues through discussion and avoided strikes,” says Badra Kumari Ranaweera, a longstanding employee at Sri Lanka #Railways. 

At the Ratmalana and Maligawatta Railways Workshops, a positive shift in workplace culture is underway, catalysed by workplace forums. Through this platform which promotes open dialogue, workers and management are finding better ways to resolve issues, enhance productivity, build a more inclusive workplace, and ultimately improve their services delivery to the public.
