Strengthening Lebanon’s Agri-Food Supply Chains through Contract Farming - ILO intervention

Amid Lebanon’s recent conflict, farmers and producers faced severe disruptions, losing access to their lands, markets, and supply chains. To help rebuild resilience, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the QOOT Cluster launched a joint initiative that connects farmers directly with food manufacturers through contract farming. This collaboration restored production links, ensured fair prices, and strengthened local value chains. More than 30 farmers and enterprises partnered through new contracts, enabling consistent quality, stable income, and sustainable growth. Hear from farmers and agribusinesses as they share how contract farming became a bridge of trust, opportunity, and recovery for Lebanon’s agri-food sector.
