🌏 Towards living wages in India
A living wage empowers workers and their families to afford a decent standard of living. Unlike minimum wages, which are legal wage floors, living wages reflect what it truly takes to live with dignity.
At the high-level regional dialogue under the Global Coalition for Social Justice, held from 23–26 September 2025 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, representatives from governments, workers, and employers’ organizations across 16 countries came together to explore how to make living wages a reality for all workers in the region.
🎥 Sudipta Marjit, Executive Member of the Employer Federation of India, shares how data collection and analysis are central to India’s approach to providing living wages. #LivingWage. #SocialJustice
