Manisar Magar from the Beldangi Bhutanese refugee camp once worked hard carrying bricks and stones and ploughing others’ fields, but his life changed dramatically after being introduced to vegetable farming. Through training under an ILO–UNHCR initiative, he learned modern farming techniques, including the use of biofertilizers, and is now earning a profit from vegetable cultivation.
