At the 114th Session of the International Labour Conference, Nahuel Placanica, Workers’ delegate from CGT Argentina, stresses the need for strong international action on decent work in the platform economy. He highlights the regulatory gaps, precarious working conditions and violations of fundamental rights faced by platform workers across countries and regions. For workers in the Americas and around the world, he underlines that the ILO has a key role to play in advancing a binding instrument that protects rights, supports social justice and ensures that platform work is recognized as decent work.
