As part of Plan International Ethiopia’s #GirlsTakeover initiative marking the International Day of the Girl 2025, Aklil Belay took over the role of Her Excellency Dr. Simone Knapp, Ambassador of Austria to Ethiopia, stepping into leadership for a day and gaining firsthand experience in diplomacy, gender equality, and international cooperation.
