Three years after the devastating earthquakes of 6 February, the scars remain — but the spirit of eleven provinces is rising. Together with donors, government institutions and local partners, UNDP supports recovery that goes beyond rebuilding. Our work focuses on four key areas: restoring livelihoods by reviving local industries and equipping survivors with new skills; restoring care services through inclusive education, psychosocial support and rehabilitation; managing waste and debris sustainably by transforming rubble into resources; and protecting cultural heritage by restoring historic sites and reviving traditional crafts. Through these efforts, we are fostering a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable future.
