Our vibrant new Christmas campaign celebrates how everything we love about the season – from turkey to trees – starts with clean water. Money raised during the appeal will help provide life-saving clean water to communities in Taranty Bas and Ankilimiary in Madagascar’s deep south, an area facing a long-term drought made worse by climate change. Nearly half the population (nine in 20 people) live without clean water close to home. Without this vital resource, families are vulnerable to drought and disease, while women and girls often miss out on school and work because they must walk long distances to collect water, sometimes from unsafe sources.
