"We wanted to bring history to life and and combine our passion for cycling with commemorating 80 years since World War II and the founding of the United Nations," Jörg Türmer, initiator of Bike-the-Line, said about the project. Riding over 1400 km along the demarcation line, the team went from Germany to Czechia and Austria, reaching the United Nations in Vienna as their final destination.
