The Rijeka Gateway project has deployed a fully managed 5G campus network to support the digital transformation of Croatia’s largest container terminal. Led by Hrvatski Telekom, the initiative combines 5G standalone and non-standalone architectures with fibre backhaul to deliver ultra-reliable, low-latency connectivity tailored for logistics, crane operations, automation and high-density IoT. The network covers the entire port zone, ensuring seamless communications for all terminal operators, equipment and service providers. With increased operational efficiency, safer workflows and improved environmental performance, the project represents one of Europe’s most advanced applications of industrial 5G.
