Two webinars were organized to present some of the analysis conducted by the Secretariat as part of the second assessment and review of the effectiveness of the Nagoya Protocol. This webinar features a presentation by the Secretariat on key findings from recent analyses of capacity-building support and financial resources for the implementation of the Nagoya Protocol on access and benefit-sharing, drawing on the review and synthesis of national reports and related assessment and review documents (see document https://www.cbd.int/documents/CBD/SBI/7/INF/6). The webinar highlights major trends, persistent challenges and emerging considerations related to capacity-building, financial resources and resource mobilization, with a view to supporting informed reflection and dialogue on ways to enhance implementation of the Nagoya Protocol in the context of the second assessment and review of its effectiveness.
