“I joined LeadersLink because I wanted to grow and learn from others who have been in my shoes.” Anjee Davis is the president and CEO of Fight Colorectal Cancer (Fight CRC). Since joining the organization in 2011 and becoming president in 2015, she has overseen significant growth and helped advance policy, research, and patient centered advocacy, including contributing to the 2021 policy change lowering the recommended age for colorectal cancer screening. As part of her capstone project, Davis expanded Fight CRC’s AI enabled colorectal cancer chatbot, integrating SMS functionality and leveraging AI to deliver real time, guideline aligned information to patients. She also worked to ensure broad, low cost access by developing partnerships with health systems, professional associations, and community organizations. Established in 2020, the FasterCures LeadersLink Program is a capacity-building program to support the personal development of an emerging cadre of leaders of nonprofit organizations that fund or conduct biomedical research. LeadersLink focuses on building participants’ leadership skills and professional network and addressing their top priorities through mentorship, a capstone project, a series of convenings, virtual collaboration, and access to Milken Institute events and networks.
