In times of crisis, dignity matters. UNFPA stands with women most in need.
“I don’t have any money. We are very poor. I am 80 years old. My daughter is unwell, and I am the only one caring for our household.”
Premavathi Perera from Kalutara District lives on tea plucking income and a small pension while caring for her unwell daughter. At 80, the burden is heavy but so is her resilience.
Emergency assistance provided essential supplies that helped ease their hardship and restore dignity during a difficult time.
“I truly felt as though God Himself came to our aid,” she shared, offering her heartfelt gratitude.
UNFPA continues to stand with women and vulnerable families in times of crisis, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
