Participating In Digital Spaces Can Change Their Lives πŸ“±

Shamim Nampijja’s background in information technology took her to fields and practices she hadn't anticipated. And now she's using that path to open doors for others, making digital tools and financial services accessible for persons with disabilities across Uganda. As she puts it, "having them participate in the digital space does change their lives. And it makes me really happy." Shamim is one of the people driving inclusion inside the 10X Programme, implemented by UNCDF, Refactory Academy, Outbox Uganda, and Women in Technology Uganda (WITU), in partnership with Mastercard Foundation. The programme supports young women entrepreneurs across Uganda, including refugees and persons with disabilities, to adopt digital tools, build strong business records, and unlock access to finance. "The future of the digital space and technology is transformative." β€” Shamim Nampijja @refactoryacademy @OutboxCoUg @MastercardFoundation #uncdf #unitednations #uganda #shorts #digitalfinance Β© UN Capital Development Fund 2026.
