3 Day Joint Training on Applied Analysis on Conflict Prevention and Early Warning HIGHLIGHTS MAIN VI

🌍 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 📍 Nairobi, Kenya | 21–23 July 2025 This recap captures highlights from a 3-day Joint Training on Applied Analysis in Conflict Prevention and Early Warning, co-organised by WANEP and the African Union Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security (AU D-PAPS), with support from GIZ. Bringing together over 30 participants from ECOWAS, SADC, EAC, COMESA, AU regional desks, ECOSOCC, SACCORD, SAPPC, ECONet, CSVR and the media, the training aimed to: ✅ Strengthen Regional Early Warning Systems (REWS) ✅ Foster AU–REC–CSO collaboration for joint conflict analysis ✅ Draft cross-regional joint reporting guidelines ✅ Share lessons from the ECOWAS–WANEP model This initiative forms part of the broader project: “Strengthening Multistakeholder Conflict Prevention Architecture in Africa.” 🔁 Watch, share, and be inspired by efforts to advance peace and security on the continent.
