Khetipati Organics, a women-led enterprise based in Dhankuta district of Koshi province, is a participant of Aadhyanta Accelerator Programme, initiated by Aadhyanta Fund Management, a partner of Sahaj, which is a Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation project. Through the programme, Ms. Prakriti Gautam, Co-founder and CEO of Khetipati, gained valuable insights into business development, covering human resource management, financial planning, operations standardisation, documentation, and marketing. Additionally, Khetipati benefited from a mentorship with Swiss Food Technology expert Willie Müller, facilitated by Sahaj's partnership with Swisscontact’s Senior Expert Contact Programme, to enhance the quality of their dried avocado powder and improve overall factory functionality. The factory currently employs 25 farmers from the surrounding area and sources raw materials from local farmers, creating income-generating opportunities at the local level, which has encouraged many young farmers to work near their homes, reducing the need for migration. Like Khetipati, Sahaj has supported over 700 small and medium enterprises, generating more than 1,400 full-time equivalent job opportunities across Koshi Province.
