Is Africa prepared for how climate change is altering migration patterns? Climate change is increasingly contributing to displacement and other types of movement across Africa. Most migrants remain on the continent and often don’t even leave their own country. In many places, a combination of weak institutions and ailing infrastructure makes matters worse. Yet countries have also made strides on regional integration and protecting rights of displaced people.
