Despite the ceasefire, humanitarian needs across Lebanon continue to deepen as displacement, economic strain, and limited access to essential services place growing pressure on affected families. 

Nearly one quarter of the population is projected to face acute food insecurity between April and August 2026, with the sharpest deterioration in southern governorates. 

Overcrowded shelters, unsafe returns, and disrupted services continue to increase protection risks, while many families returning home still find damaged or uninhabitable houses. 

While some collective shelters have closed, many remain under growing strain, particularly in the South and Beirut. Humanitarian needs remain severe in both inside and outside shelters, especially for families living in precarious conditions. 

Reduced visibility must not be mistaken for reduced needs. Humanitarian needs in Lebanon will remain critical for months, while funding constraints continue to limit the scale of the response. 

‫لبنان 🇱🇧 | لا تزال الاحتياجات الإنسانية مرتفعة بشكل حرج‬ 

‫رغم وقف إطلاق النار، لا تزال الاحتياجات الإنسانية في لبنان تتفاقم مع استمرار النزوح والضغوط الاقتصادية ومحدودية الوصول إلى الخدمات الأساسية.‬ 

‫من المتوقع أن يواجه نحو ربع السكان مستويات حادة من انعدام الأمن الغذائي بين نيسان وآب 2026، مع تسجيل التدهور الأكبر في محافظات الجنوب.‬ 

‫كما تستمر المآوي المكتظة، والعودة غير الآمنة، وتعطل الخدمات في زيادة مخاطر الحماية، بينما لا تزال العديد من العائلات العائدة تجد منازلها مدمرة أو غير صالحة للسكن.‬ 

‫ورغم إغلاق بعض المآوي الجماعية، لا يزال العديد منها يعمل تحت ضغط متزايد، خصوصاً في الجنوب وبيروت، فيما تبقى الاحتياجات مرتفعة داخل المآوي وخارجها.‬ 

‫إن تراجع التغطية الإعلامية لا يعني تراجع الاحتياجات، فيما تستمر القيود التمويلية في الحد من حجم الاستجابة الإنسانية.‬
