Lebanon 🇱🇧 | Displacement, motherhood, and an ongoing struggle over the past two years Hanan Jamal, from the village of Baraashit in South Lebanon, shares her family’s story of displacement. But her experience was not unique. Many families describe sleeping in cars, moving between shelters in search of space, and struggling to find safety. In the first days of the escalation, several shelters reached full capacity within hours. Some families spent more than 24 hours on the road, stuck in heavy traffic from the south, trying to reach safer areas. Mount Lebanon now hosts over 30% of displaced families, placing increasing pressure on already stretched services and communities.
