At 7:00 AM, #UNMISS #Mongolian peacekeepers geared up for a vital mission to escort 22 fuel trucks carrying 400,000 litres of fuel through flood-affected and insecure terrain to Bentiu, #SouthSudan. On the 50km journey through areas impacted by conflict and criminality, the team maintained a protective shield around the two-kilometre long convoy carrying precious supplies that will sustain peacekeeping operations to protect civilians and ensure safe delivery of humanitarian aid for the year ahead.
